Back in my days as a policeman in a small Southern town I ran into many different and, at times, strange situations. One was the housewife prostitute caper. While working the night shift, while on patrol, I got word of a prostitute at a local truck stop. When I got there and walked around the truck parking I spotted a woman who definitely was dressed for the part. Short skirt, loose shirt and, obviously, no bra. When she stepped one foot on a truck running board, it appeared that she had no panties on either. Although I liked what I was seeing, I was still a policeman and in uniform. I also, noticed a car parked close by with a man in the drivers seat. I approached her, keeping an eye on the car. When I got to her she seemed real nervous. I asked her what she was doing in a truck parking lot that late at night. She said that she was looking for a friend but when I asked the friends name , she couldn’t remember. About that time I noticed the man get out of the car and walk toward us. When he got closer, I warned him to keep back. He, then, informed me that I was talking with his wife so I had him come closer and to keep his hands where I could see them. I checked the woman’s purse which contained normal purse items and several condoms. When I gave her the purse back, I asked for ID and then asked what they were doing there although it seemed obvious and I told them that. The man then said, “Can we be honest?’ I said that I would really like that. He said that they belonged to a swingers group and they were doing the prostitute fantasy. Their group had gotten together and the women decided that they were going to be a prostitute one time only. The weren’t doing it for the money but the thrill of selling themselves. I informed them that selling sex in Tennessee is illegal and if I had gotten the call from dispatch, it would be on record and I would have had to make an arrest or write a must appear citation. I told them that I was going to let them go this time but spread the word to the rest of their group. Before they left, I asked the woman what she planned on charging. She said that she was going to ask one dollar for oral and five for regular sex. I was reaching for my wallet when I remembered that I was in uniform. I caught a few others in the next few days and gave them the same talk. One woman stands out. When I told her that she could be arrested or, at the least, get a misdemeanor citation she begged me to give her the citation. When I informed her that she would have to appear in court she changed her mind. I asked her why she wanted it she said that it was to show the others in the group so I wrote her a warning citation and tore up my copy. After a while they stopped showing up. I kind of missed them. Some of the outfits were barely legal. Great to look at. Since then, I have heard of that fantasy but haven’t seen it since. But if it is a common fantasy, ladies, I am no longer a policeman
